Annual Charity Ball 2018

The East Yorkshire Barclays Business Managers Charity Ball began in 2012 with the simple aim of raising funds for a local charity in a bid to make a difference to children and their families in our local community.

We started our planning in March 2012 and set off on our journey with a few
simple ideas in mind. Several 100 hours of planning & preparation, 130 guests
and a few fundraising games later we had raised £8200 for our chosen charity.

We decided that evening to make this an annual event, and started to plot 2013's the following Monday back at work. Our aim remained the same - to raise funds for a local charity in a bid to make a difference to children's lives in our local community. Our Charity Ball in November 2013 raised £8,384, taking our fundraising in 2 years to over £16,500 which we are really pleased with, and grateful to all of our guests for the continued support. Thanks to the very generous support of our sponsors and guests in 2014, we raised a staggering £16,000, taking our running total to £32,500. 2015 saw us raise a mind blowing £20,000 helping us to break through the £50,000 barrier. 2016's event surpassed all of our expectations, and thanks to the generosity of those who attended we raised £25,000 taking us to £75,000 to date. Our aim is to get to £100,000 following this years event - an amount that will undoubtedly make a hugeifference to families in our region.

After our inaugural ball in 2012 and following great feedback from those who attended in 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016, 2017 and 2018 is shaping up to be another spectacular event. We will once again be supporting When You Wish Upon a Star helping them to celebrate 26 years of granting wishes -  a charity very close to our hearts. We have some great food and entertainment lined up, and look forward to seeing you there for what will surely be another entertaining & memorable evening of fun and fundraising.
